Hey Mamma occupies a somewhat improbable location on Carrer Ull de Llebre in Els Cards, wedged snugly into a standalone house opposite a park between Sitges and Sant Pere de Ribes. The stone oven anchors a menu that goes beyond pizza to include poke bowls, gourmet options, burgers, vegan and gluten-free alternatives, all produced in a kitchen that takes quality seriously.
The dough and resulting crust earn praise and clearly these guys know what they’re doing. One caveat: an unorthodox twist finds them incorporating some Emmental cheese to most pies on the menu, so be forewarned, this is not a classic Neopolitan recipe. Weekend lunch service (Friday to Sunday) and a terrace with good natural light and shade make this the kind of place you can occupy for an afternoon. The comfortable décor is well designed and well-appointed, and service is quick. The ribs, when available, have generated solid reviews.
