Big Papi’s made its name in Sitges with events, a legendary food truck and a welcome stint at a bodega in park Can Robert before regrouping down the coast at its current home at the port in Coma Ruga — a setting that suits the kitchen perfectly. The new sun-bleached Surfera chiringuito overlooks the marina, where ceviche and burritos arrive tasting all better for the sea air. Thursday to Sunday only, for now, but that half week earns its keep — big time.
Margaritas widely cited as among the best on the Costa Daurada, a kitchen that backs them up with delicious Mexican standards… all in all a great way to while away an afternoon (trust us). What’s more the staff — led by Marie and Abraham — have turned the front of house into something worth celebrating. Saturday DJ sets and occasional Noches de Magia round out a programme that operates equally as restaurant, beach club, and neighbourhood gathering point. Worth the drive from anywhere in the Garraf.
